Beginning in upper elementary grades, Tattnall students can choose from a wide variety of clubs and organizations. Clubs are an ideal way for our students to gain invaluable, real world experience, meet new friends, and enhance their repertoire.
Elementary Student Council
The TSA Elementary Student Council aims to present a positive image of the school to fellow students and the community at large. They work as a liaison to encourage good communication between administration and the student body. The officers, elected by their peers, organize fundraisers and supplies drives to benefit TSA and the Middle Georgia community.
Beta Club
The National Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America. Membership for TSA’s Senior Beta Club is open to upper school students who achieve and maintain an overall A GPA and have been approved by faculty and administration. Good candidates stand out in the classroom and demonstrate a strong work ethic and determination to succeed.
Band
Students have the opportunity to participate in the 5th-grade band, symphonic band, jazz band, and the Tattnall Band of Gold (marching band.) Under the direction of Mr. Kyle Montgomery, the band program has flourished and boasts successful seasons in all areas.
Chorus
Choral students, led by Ms. Sarah Boutwell, blend creativity with instruction in vocal and performance talents. Students are able to enjoy and appreciate music through learning a larger repertoire of songs.
Drama (One Act)
One Act allows students with an interest in theater to develop their talents in a positive and creative way. One Act is led by Mr. Will Washburn
FCA
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is the largest Christian sports organization in America. The organization focuses on serving our local community by equipping, empowering, and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.
Spanish Club
The Spanish Club is an environment outside of the classroom where those who have a passion for Spanish-speaking culture can get together, participate in activities and meet other like-minded Tattnall students. Additionally, the club honors the importance of helping the community by participating in local and international community service projects. This club is student-led, providing students with the chance to develop their leadership skills and make a difference in their community.
Key Club
Key Club, an international student-led organization, provides its members with opportunities to build character and develop leadership skills. As the largest high school service program in the world, Key Club works to foster competent, capable, and caring members of society through the vehicle of service.
Math Team
Led by Mrs. Carolyn Smothers, the Tattnall math teams (varsity, JV, and middle school) have maintained a championship dynasty for the past several years. Math team members benefit from a Problem Solving course, taught by Mrs. Smothers, and extensive training throughout the season. Teams travel to local and regional meets where they earn an average of 19 first place team and individual trophies annually.
Ecology Action Club
The Ecology Action Club offers students a chance to gain a better understanding of science in their community. This organization meets monthly to discuss projects and to participate in both social and community service events. Each year, ecology action club members volunteer at the Ocmulgee River Clean-up, volunteer at local schools to celebrate Earth Day, and enjoy a day of canoeing and kayaking down the Ocmulgee River in May.
Robotics Club
The Robotics Club provides students the opportunity to learn more about the construction, wiring, and programming of robotics. Members must show an interest in exploring the world of creative construction. The students participate in class robotic competitions and other challenges.
Student Council
The mission of Student Council is to encourage good communication between the administration, the faculty and the student body; to present a positive image of our school to fellow students and the community at large; and to promote good leadership and good citizenship. During the year, Student Council sponsors a Hats for Hope Day in support of the Jay’s Hope Foundation and a Casual for a Cause Day in support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Student Council is also in charge of the Kids Yule Love Christmas Program and the Moving Up Ceremony.
Y-Club
Y-Club serves to foster Christian character values such as industriousness, humility, and charity. Through various projects and events, students are encouraged to develop a high sense of morality and civic leadership. The club also encourages young citizens to become active participants in their school, local, national and international community.
Yearbook
The Horizons Staff is charged with the important job of producing the Tattnall Square Academy yearbook. These hardworking students dedicate countless hours to create a visually appealing, accurate and permanent record of each school year. The staff takes on creation and selling of ad space, photographing student life, and writing copy.

The mission of this organization is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. They accomplish their mission by praying for young people, building personal relationships, winning the right to be heard and helping young people develop the skills, assets and attitudes to reach their full God-given potential.
